I'm glad to hear you're putting together a memorial web site for Larry.  All of us are in such shock and have such a great need to share our feelings, stories, pictures.  Thank you!  I know you've known Larry for almost forever.  I can't say that, but I do recognize that he was my best friend and I feel such a void that I can't at this point anticipate ever filling up.

I have a wonderful picture of Larry from Memorial Day weekend in Door Co. of this year.  Chris Keller, her whole family and Larry were up for the the weekend, as was a fellow Scandi folkdance friend and myself.  We connected with "Larry and the Gang" several times, and had a great weekend.  We were at Cana Island and about to go out to the Ridges for a nature walk where this picture was taken.

The University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee (UWM) will be having a memorial service for Larry on Sunday, Sept. 10th, 2-5:00pm at the UWM Hefter Conference Center, 3271 N. Lake Drive.

I wanted to get the information out so the date can be held.  Please spread the word to anyone you think would be interested.  I have given this information to Paul Collins to include in the web memorial site being created.

I wanted to update you on plans following Larry's Memorial service on the 10th.  I have a reservation in at Bodolino's (pizza restaurant across the street from Mitchell Hall, UWM, 3124 N. Downer Ave, for around 30-40 people.

Larry  and I ate here frequently, and since the local coffee shop changed hands in Jan.00,  Larry stopped here daily for his late afternoon coffee!  But they didn't have his chocolate chip cookies!  I am waiting to get an official confirmation of the reservation, but was told it would probably be fine. That will be the first sunday they are open.  They have a side room that works for large groups.

I decided to contact the restaurant since the service will offer only light finger food, and people will/may be hungry at that time of the day.  I thought it'd be too difficult to try to arrange for food at my house for so
many people.  I am still planning on having my house open after the restaurant for anyone who wants to continue to talk and share; and I'm hoping that will happen.

As I know more, I'll let you know. Take care,
