The first is a letter Herman sent to me over ten years ago. It has hung above my desk at home since then, regardless of where home has been. Why? It is so simple. It is so joyous. It is so Herman. "We had our usual happy year" says it all. Happiness is the everyday and the obvious. What a blessed man, and what a blessed world this is because of his presence.
